The rice whiteness meter was developed to measure the whiteness, transparency and polishing of rice grains. Its use within the processing process has become indispensable as, in addition to standardising the whiteness of the grains, thus guaranteeing a product with the same quality, it guides the operator in the regulation of the whiteners and polishers, thus avoiding losses both in mass and in breakage.
